How Common Are Skin Cancers?

Skin cancers are often sun/UV related and are less common in our Asian population.

Regardless, please see your skin specialist for any suspicious skin mole/spot that may itch or bleed.

What is the treatment?

Spots or moles that are not worrying can be monitored at regular intervals. Your skin specialist will usually take photographs to compare over time. Suspicious spots or moles can be removed surgically in a procedure called a Wide Local Excision that is usually done as a day procedure.
